- ServiceNow’s “low-code means anyone can build” — App Engine and Workflow Studio are real, but production apps still need a platform team. Plan for the headcount.
- Both vendors will demo AI (Freddy, Now Assist) on perfectly clean data. Test it on your messy ticket history before you believe the deflection numbers.
If you are under 1,000 fulfillers with a pure ITSM scope, start with Freshservice; if ITOM, multi-module platform play, or regulated enterprise scale is in scope, ServiceNow is the only answer that holds up at year three.
